World Educational Robot Contest (WER) is one of the largest educational robot contests in the world participated by more than 500,000 students from around 50 regions and countries in its school level, regional level, national level and world championship contests every year since 2013.
WERS and WER were founded by Dr. W. Yun of Abilix Shanghai and Professor Jake Mendelssohn of Connecticut Invention Convention in 2012. The core value of WER is to train students in the ability to succeed, to enrich their technological literacy, and to hone their technological genius through hands-on practices and contests.
Invitational letters will be sent in due course.
Hands-on and Minds-on, develop programs for autonomous robots to solve contest tasks.
WER introduces different themes and tasks (problems to solve) each year to keep the students abreast of the latest technological developments in the real world. Before each contest, they will be equipped with the fundamental knowledge using the sophisticated Abilix Educational Robot Kits. They will then be grouped into teams to brain-storm and develop their own solutions to solve the given tasks.
